Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact

The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has superb battery life

If you are looking for a new tablet computer, battery life should be the top of your list.

Why? Because when it comes down to it, a tablet computer only has a stunning display and a super-fast processor when it’s on. A tablet that can’t get you through what you’re trying to do is, quite simply, a hunk of useless glass and metal/ plastic and you’re not going to be happy with it in the long-term.

Which brings me on to the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet.

Sony is on a roll with their latest Xperia smartphones – the Z3 and Z3 Compact – which both boast class-leading battery life (two days use is well documented). The new Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet is following in the same suit, bloing away all other Android-powered tablets in battery tests.

“The Xperia Z3 Tablet has beaten the iPad Mini 2, iPad Air 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab S and every other tablet you can think of in battery tests”

The Xperia Z3 Tablet has an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,200 x 1,920, which is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC with 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 GPU. It’s a powerful tablet, make no mistake, and keeping it powered is a 4,500mAh battery – large, but nothing compared to the 7340mAh battery in the iPad Air.

Yet, it lasted a frankly astonishing 17 hours and 45 minutes during a 720p looping video-playback test in the hands of PCPRO. To put that into context, it smashed the previous record holder – the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX – by 50 minutes, and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S by a ridiculous 5 hours and 23 minutes… now that’s more than embarrassing.

In the hands of Phone Arena, things went just as well. The Xperia Z3 Tablet has beaten the iPad Mini 2, iPad Air 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab S and every other tablet you can think of in battery tests. We’ve embedded these results below.

When you factor in other Xperia Z3 Tablet features such as its 6.4mm profile and full-waterproof body, you’d be mad to fork out for any other Android-powered tablet than the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact in early 2015.¬†Your tablet computer can be as stunningly crafted or as wickedly fast as it likes, but if it can’t fuel your tech-hungry needs for any significant period of time, it’s not going to be a match made in heaven.

It’s fast, it’s stylish, it’s waterproof… and it’ll last longer than you do.

It’s a tablet experience for the 21st century. BUY ONE NOW.
