Take a look at the image above. It’s Samsung’s teaser image for their Galaxy Unpacked event which will take place on March 1st at 12:30PM ET (6:30PM CET) ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and it gives something very important away – their next flagship will have a curved screen.
If it does (have a curved screen), the next flagship will probably use the same technology as found in the Galaxy Note Edge, a powerful and capable handset that lacks the class of the LG G Flex.
So what else do we know?
Well today a massive leak made the Internet detailing the exact dimensions of the Galaxy S6. As reported by BGR, the Galaxy S6 will be 6.91 millimeters thick, which is the same thickness as the iPhone 6 and a little bit thinner than the iPhone 6 Plus. According to leaks, the S6 will also have a protruding camera lens (GSM Arena) and according to The Verge, it won’t be using the Snapdragon 810 processor.
Another rumour is that for the first time Samsung will ditch the plastic for metal, with Tech Radar reporting that the S6 could have a full aluminium unibody.
Aside from that, we know very little – Samsung has managed to contain the features and specifications of the S6 better than Galaxy smartphones of the past. What we can confirm, however, is that all will be revealed on March 1st.
