“Stop getting angry”…

“Stop punching your phone”…

“It’s just a game!”…

My girlfriend doesn’t get it.

I have invested an hour and a half into Crossy Road, and I’m no closer than I was to begin with at being able to cross the road. It should be simple – child’s play. But it isn’t. PlayStation Plus

Sony says sorry

If you were the owner of a multi-national business that had its key online service brought down by a DDoS attack over the Christmas period, what would you do to compensate your customers that were left unable to access their online world for not just a few hours, but days?

It would seem that a five-day extension on PlayStation Plus subscriptions and a 10% discount token on any PlayStation Plus purchase is just compensation for Sony, which is what affected users are going to get – like it or not.

Microsoft has worked hard to offer enticing deals on the Xbox One in recent months, including a number of new bundles with the build up to Black Friday, but it’s still struggling to compete overall – it was reported in August that the PS4 is outselling the Xbox One by 3-to-1.

Sony's PlayStation '94 Shop

Sony’s PlayStation ’94 Shop was the coolest thing in 2014

If you love gaming, then you’ve got to love Sony.

After all, these are the kind folk who gave us the original PlayStation, and along with that console legendary games including Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Gran Turismo 2, plus much more.

Two decades on since Sony launched that wonderful console, Sony saw fit fit to celebrate in 2014.

But rather than throw a party, the company took to a London high-street store to recreate 90s’ gaming nostalgia.
